One of the best purchases for Mary was her Variable Pressure Mattress. I don't believe she had a bed sore the entire time she used it. This picture is taken a few days after mom arrived at Gateby. To clarify the picture, motor won't work when not plugged in.

Same week. The two black "hooks" at the bottom are what keeps the motor on the bed and they had been broken.

Another day, same problem. Notice that it is unplugged and the motor is no longer on the hooks but just stuffed between the bedframe and the mattress.

As best I understood it, the cleaning staff were just sliding the bed out from the wall without ANY care for mom's property.

And in less than two weeks, they were finally able to completely break it. Notice that although still plugged in there is no longer any air in the mattress.

They were able to pull the wires out so hard that the motor no longer worked.

Physio did provide mom with one of their better mattresses to help with the frustration. However, mom still ended up later struggling with bed sores.

Yes, this happens. More than once. The oxygen on the back of mom's wheelchair is empty.
